A keen interest in infection control was the seed that gave way to Jennie’s continual search of exemplary quality on behalf of all patients. Jennie continues certification in gastroenterology nursing (CGRN) since 1991; she worked 25 years in the HealthEast Care System. During her tenure as President (1999) of the Minnesota regional Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (MnSGNA), the Minnesota regional membership achieved the “Outstanding Regional Society Award!” For 6 years Jennie was employed at Minnesota Gastroenterology (MnGI) as Director of Clinical Practice, Director of Quality, and Service Quality Improvement Advisor. Presently Jennie is Performance Improvement Specialist at Hennepin Faculty Associates, the physicians who staff Hennepin County Medical Center. A member of MHQP since 1999, Jennie joined MHQP’s Board early 2004 and served as Membership Chair in 2005. In 2004 she was awarded 1 of 2 grants awarded annually by the Healthcare Quality Foundation (HQF) for attendance at the annual conference of the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ), Fall, 2004.
