Return to Newsletters Table of Contents BETWEEN THE LINES: Message From the President By Nancy Jaeckels As our 2002 annual meeting approaches (June 20), I want to address the members of MHQP and give an update on the standing of our organization. Last year at the 2001 annual meeting, myself along with the other Board chairs gave an account of the situation of MHQP. We then laid out our plan for 2002 to increase the membership and decrease our budget deficit. The goals we illustrated encompassed the following areas: • Decrease costs due to administrative support • Increase the cost of education workshops to non-MHQP members • Respond to the phone survey done with MHQP members last year by: 1) Utilizing the MHQP Web site and e-mail announcements to get information to members while using less mailing of letters for notification. 2) Restructure the MHQP Newsletter in a manner that will decrease cost. Our current Board has worked extremely hard over the last 9 months and there have been significant changes. We are still and always will be looking for new ways to attract and retain new MHQP members as well as gain new Board members. Please let us know by email or phone to any Board member if you have any additional comments or ideas we can work on to better our MHQP deliverables.
